On Friday 25th September Phil Wilson, MP for Sedgefield, like many people across the constituency, opened the doors of his office, and took part in MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee morning.
Coffee and Cake with the MP was well supported with £170 raised to help support the fabulous work of MacMillan, supporting those diagnosed with Cancer, and their families. Constituents, police officers, and councillors joined Phil and his team for a coffee, a cake and a chat.
Phil Wilson said “Last year over 2000 people in the constituency of Sedgefield were suffering from cancer. It is therefore, important to support fantastic charities such as MacMillan.”
“The donations they receive from events such as this is vital to the charity and the families they support so I want to say a big thank you to all of those across the constituency who held or attended one of these fantastic events.”
