It is the final week of the election campaign, Kate Hopper and Eddy Adam, your Labour Party candidates, would like to thank the people we have met during our walkabouts and those individuals who continue to support us during these challenging times. So it is now up to you, the voters, to decide on who will represent you over the next four years on Durham County Council and Great Aycliffe Town Council.
Both Kate and Eddy have lived in Aycliffe West ward for over 30 years and as councillors work hard to put the community first, working diligently as a team, responding to individual resident concerns and actively supporting Aycliffe West community groups, they are councillors that just get on and do.
What you have told us during this election campaign will be our top priorities for the next four years, to PROTECT you into the future:
• Providing effective support and guidance to individual residents
• Retaining and improving our built and green environment
• Offering our experience and knowledge to resolve local issues
• Tackling anti-social behaviour through partnership working
• Encourage resident participation with community groups
• Combating parking problems within local streets
• Training and education opportunities to improve job prospects
