Saturday 30th March will see a ‘Celebration of Easter’ take place in Aycliffe town centre from 12noon to 3.00pm.
Aycliffe Town Centre Management, Community Spirit and Aycliffe Radio will bring a plethora of activities and freebies for families to enjoy.
Easter is a joyous time of year when families and friends come together to celebrate the spring season. One beloved symbol of Easter is the Easter Bunny, a friendly and playful character who brings treats and surprises to children around the world. The Easter Bunny is often associated with Easter egg hunts and various fun activities and games that make the holiday memorable for everyone involved.
Easter Bunny visits are a highlight of the Easter celebration for many children who may also have the opportunity have a photo with the Easter Bunny, adding to the atmosphere of the day.
Easter egg hunts are a classic and entertaining activity that kids of all ages can enjoy. The idea is simple: hidden egg images are scattered around various shop windows, and children search for them, making a note of where the images are located.
In addition to the Easter egg hunt, there will be other activities and games that can enhance the Easter celebration. These will include guessing the number of sweets in a jar, name the bunny, Easter raffle and a tombola stall.
Overall, the celebration of Easter with the Easter Bunny and various activities and games offers a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to come together, have fun, and create a lasting memory. Whether it’s hunting for eggs, getting your face painted or participating in other activities, these traditions help make Easter a special and cherished holiday for people of all ages.
Bring the children along to meet the Easter Bunny and receive a free Easter Egg. The Easter Bunny will be located in the ex-Peacocks unit in the town centre along with other activities with cake and craft stalls.
The local beat team will be in attendance with police vehicles. Joining them will be Balloon Al, making balloon models for the children, local facepainter, VickyMux, kiddies fairground rides, burgers, hot dogs and ice cream van, with Aycliffe Radio providing music for the afternoon.
