Scarlet Whitaker Dunn put in some impressive laps on a wet and very busy track at Warden Law last weekend, despite sharing the circuit with some higher-powered karts from more senior formulae.
Scarlet’s younger brother, Harrison, enjoyed his time helping out with the kart and making new friends from other teams.
“It’s a pleasure for us to be at the circuit together as a family, with Scarlet being a third generation racer from the Whitaker bloodline.”
Generous assistance was also provided by long-time family friend and race mechanic Rob Storey and Andrew Honey of Peninsula Historic Motorsport.
Andy said “It was great to be able to see Scarlet testing today and how much she has improved since I last saw her on a kart. It is my pleasure that my company can help Scarlet in a small way to realise her potential in motorsport.”
“The track was extra slippy because of the on-and-off rain,” stated Scarlet, “But, despite that, it was still great to be out on the track.”
