Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Fair at the Scout Hall on Saturday, it went really well. It was lovely to have Jackie, John and Lori come and see us.
A special thanks to June, Valerie and Joyce because, if not for them, I would be struggling to run this rescue that has a lot of very poorly babies and juveniles, I am well over my numbers too which doesn’t come cheap either.
All hoggies are doing well, some have needed full nursing care, these hedgehogs have come from all parts of the county, Ferryhill, Neasham, Durham and also Stockton-on-Tees.
We have also released four back into the wild this week too, job done eh!
Please meet Bonnie, from Neasham in Darlington, she has an upset tummy and a poorly front paw.
Tip of the week, please seek advice from The British Hedgehog Preservation Society if you see a hedgehog out during the day large or small, they can be contacted on 01584 890801.
But, first and foremost get the hedgehog out of harms way, pop in a high sided box with towels etc to keep them safe and warm until help is sought.
