Hello, I am PCSO Sarah Button from the Newton Aycliffe Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Following on from reports of an on-going issue with anti-social behaviour, we have recently carried out an operation to tackle this problem in the Western Area of town.
The operation worked successfully and resulted in: 2 off road bikes seized, 5 fixed penalty notices have been issued to parents for those kids who have had 2 warnings in relation to breach of Covid-19 regulations, 1 car seized, 1 person arrested for drug driving, 14 home visits conducted by the team to speak with the problem youths (during these visits some were issued with warnings some were issued with FPN), high levels of foot patrols carried out throughout the area, home visits conducted to reassure concerned members of the community.
This work will continue, as we are fully committed in ensuring that your concerns are addressed.
We have finally been given some details from the Government mapping our way out of Covid-19 restrictions, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! To support this happening, we all need to keep doing our best to ensure we are following the regulations set out to us by the Government and keep everybody as safe as possible.
