Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions the Town Council will not be having an Allotments AGM this year, but we thought that the Allotment Awards should still happen, albeit socially distanced.
Chairman of the Environment Committee, Martin Ashcroft and Vice-Chairman, Ian Gray were on hand to ‘present’ the awards to:
Mr. J. Hannan for Best Pat Aycliffe Village allotments, (Pic 857)
Mrs. V. Iceton for Best Plot at Finchale Road allotments,
Mrs. D. Nattrass for Best Plot at Clarence Chare allotments,
Mr. D. Foster for Best Plot at Byerley Park allotments,
Mr. & Mrs Addison were awarded the Angela Flemming Memorial Trophy for Best Plot at St. Oswald’s allotments.
Mr. J. Hannan was also awarded the Ken Woodhall Memorial Bowl for Best Overall Plot.
Mr. D. Taylor was awarded the Edward Hubery Memorial Trophy for Best New or Most Improved Allotment.
