St. Josephs are proud to announce that they have been awarded the Investing In Children Membership. This scheme recognises and celebrates examples of imaginative and inclusive practice with children and young people.
The children of St. Josephs’ had to provide the evidence for the organisation and endorse the report because it is a children’s award. Rob Johnson came into school from the scheme and with Mayor Val Raw and other staff and representatives from each group presented this award to the children.
At a ceremony in the school hall, pupils spoke of how they helped shape school life. These included representatives from the School Council, the School Nutrition Action Group, School Grounds, Bike It Committee and the Eco Warriors.
Rob Johnson of Investing In Children, said: “St Joseph’s definitely deserves this award. I met the pupils and it is clear they felt their opinions were being listened to and that things were changing”.
