Greenfield Arts are celebrating their 20th birthday and are excited to announce their new summer programme brimming with opportunities and possibilities. The summer activities include projects, specialist courses, exhibitions and activities for adults and young people that encourage and support creativity.

We are delighted to welcome artist in residence Bethan Maddocks who will be holding creative community drop-in sessions and holding inspiring interventions with students and our Cree group which will culminate in a new exhibition inspired by her residency.

There are a host of opportunities for young people to get involved in with free ‘Can Create’ craft sessions, our regular art club and summer holiday activities and exhibitions. Students from Greenfield Community College will be demonstrating a wealth of creativity in their own exhibition, showcasing painting, photography and design.

Would you like to develop your skills and challenge yourself? The specialist programme offers the chance to explore painting, cyanotype, sketchbook skills and welcomes inspirational tutor David Taylor in our brand-new creative thinking, come along and explore new ways of seeing and learn more about the techniques and skills involved in our new programme.

Express yourself with our popular favourites such as Spanish and Yoga, or be part of a creative forum with a self-led community group supported by artist Sharron Bates.

These are just a few of the many opportunities available in an exciting summer programme that celebrates Greenfield Arts, challenge perceptions and embraces possibility. Greenfield Arts are committed to providing quality arts opportunities and have bespoke spaces, at their Arts Centre facility in Newton Aycliffe, to offer to creatives and community groups.
