Students at Greenfield Community College have been working independently to learn more about French culture, in particular exploring the celebration of La Chandeleur which has taken place this month.
The studies have helped them find out more about French culture, improved their language skills and why the French celebrate their very own pancake day!
“What a fantastic few weeks 7W have had in French, they have used the skills they have been learning over the past few months and put all their research together into a presentation which they shared with the whole class. The presentations were of a very high standard, well done to all involved” said Modern Foreign Language subject leader Mrs Welsh.
The students were able to learn new skills, gain confidence and progress their ability to be self-led learners, all attributes that support their overall learning experience at Greenfield.
Greenfield Community College offer a broad and balanced curriculum. Modern Foreign Languages play an important role in learning and supporting students to develop their literacy skills.
