Dr. Chris Stephenson, representing the Partners and staff at Bewick Crescent Surgery, would like to formally thank Mrs Hilary Stoker for seven dedicated years as Chair of the Patient Participation Group after she stepped down from the position last month.
Hilary assumed the position of Chair in 2013 and has invested a significant amount of time in promoting the practice’s services and conducting many charity events. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my seven year tenure as Chair and wish the very best for my successor in this important position. I will continue to enjoy being part of this Group but from a backseat from now on”. Mrs Sue Cooke has assumed the position of Chairperson and will represent the voice of patients which continues to be a critical friend to the Surgery. Sue is also the Chair of the Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership (GAMP); GAMP is an Area Action Partnership that works to identify and address local issues, and in turn improve the area in which people live, it’s services and facilities. Dr. Stephenson said, “we would like to congratulate Sue on her new position and wish her continued success like her predecessor. We will continue to work closely with her and the rest of the PPG in order to provide the best service we can to our patients which is within our resources”.
The practice, which provides care for the largest patient cohort in Newton Aycliffe, is conducting a patient survey opening on the 24th February 2020 and welcomes your views. The survey will be open for five and days will be available on its website and can also be completed in the main surgery at Bewick and the branch surgery at Heighington.
