Greenfield Arts are pleased to be working on a fantastic new project for young people with North East artist Theresa Easton. “Book Bound” will explore printmaking, bookmaking and storytelling over 5 after school sessions starting Tuesday 23rd April.
Last week Theresa joined Greenfield College students and their teacher and author Ms Wharton during their lessons making books, and discussing ideas for the project.
The books made by the young people over the course of the project will go on display at BALTIC Art Gallery in Gateshead in May and June as part of Theresa’s “Fantastic Books Fabulous Books” project which has been awarded funding from Arts Council England as part of the Festival of the North East.
We are looking forward to seeing the ideas our young people come up with whilst learning new bookmaking and printmaking techniques, and to seeing their artwork on display at the BALTIC, and on tour at The Greenfield Gallery in July.
If you would like to join in these sessions, please contact Greenfield Arts on 01325 379048 for more information.
