What a successful year 2019 has been for everyone at Heighington AFC it has been truly amazing. The whole club would like to thank everyone involved, players, parents, siblings, coaches, managers, the board and the sponsors.
Under 10s – RFYL
The Mighty Red and Blacks played against Washington AFC Pumas today. Only having 7 lads, so no subs, they played brilliantly. Oliver M came in to help make the numbers up and helped himself to a goal, however he should have had 2 goals after a quality strike from distance clearly crossed the line only for the ref to rule it out. Running out 4-2 winners the lads made sure they kept up their current good form. Goals scored by Preston, Oliver M, Oliver C and Coleby. MoM went to both Preston and Daniel. Preston played part of the match in goal and made a couple of very crucial saves and even saved a penalty. Daniel never stopped running the entire match, always looking to take his man on and was a constant threat. Massive well done to all the lads and its a great way to finish 2019 with another win.

Fantastic way to sign off 2019 with a 5 – 1 win over local rivals Bishop St Mary’s. After Bishop took the lead, Heighington were relentless and worked non stop to secure the 3 points.
Excellent work rate for all the boys.

A tough game for the boys today in absolutely freezing and windy conditions. The boys dug deep and gave everything they had.
Superb individual performances all over the park with some incredible saves from Matthew and 4 goals for MOTM Marley.
After a brilliant weekend of football the lads enjoyed the clubs Christmas Party at Heighington Village Hall, with music, games and even visit from Santa himself. It was a great turn out with parents and siblings joining in to make it a fantastic way to finish 2019.
The club are actively looking for new players in 2020 to add to all ages (under 8s and under 10s) if your child is keen on their football and would like to be a part of this fantastic football club please contact the club via Dave Raine on 07702 303809.
We have teams playing both Saturday and Sunday. The club also have a great development team who are wanting extra players to come train with them ages 4/5 years old.
