Santa’s Breakfast Club: It’s that time of year again! The Christmas Breakfast Club is on Saturday, December 14, at Aycliffe Village Hall, from 9am to 12.30pm. As well as the usual bacon butties and cups of tea or coffee, crafts, stalls, glitter tattoos and a raffle, Santa will be in his grotto ready to give children their presents.
WI Meeting: The Christmas meeting of Aycliffe Village WI is on Tuesday, December 17, at Aycliffe Village Hall at 7pm, when Eve Gamblin talks about A German Christmas. Visitors are welcome.
Carols on the Green: Come and enjoy the village’s traditional carol singalong on Monday, December 23, at 7.30pm, outside The County. Then afterwards, warm up in the pub with friends and family and enjoy a mince pie and ginger wine.
Christmas Services: Start your Christmas with a Carols by Candlelight service on Christmas Eve at St Andrew’s Church at 3pm. The Christmas Eve midnight service starts at 11.30pm. The Christmas Day service for the parish is at 10am at St Elizabeth’s Church in Newton Aycliffe.
