The Turbinia did it again, we have been awarded another place in next years ‘No. 1’ guide to the best ale pubs in the country. The only Aycliffe Pub to ever feature in the guide.
This is a great honour for us because every year the competition keep upping their game, it’s a very strict judging process, with ale experts checking, quality, choice, quantity and value of beers available and the pub itself. It is fantastic to be honoured this way, as we pride ourselves on quality and offering a massive choice, last year we featured 172 different ales and 13 scrumpy’s from all over the country.
We must thank the staff for all their hard work, and importantly the customers without who, we could not have achieved this.
Why not help us celebrate this weekend, at our amazing – ‘ocTURBerfest’ Beer Festival, 19 different beers, 3 scrumpy’s and 12 gins for you to sample, FREE entry, open all day from 1.00pm.
Entertainment all weekend includes, on Friday night an Accoustic Open-Mic (featuring some great local talent); on Saturday night we have ‘Little Devil’ (fantastic high energy soft rock band) and finishing the weekends gigs off on Sunday afternoon is ‘The Gatecrashers’ (north-east’s No. 1 party band) with something for everyone.
Just when you think it can’t get any better, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we will be greatly reducing the price of any remaining backroom drinks. ‘So drink us dry’!
