Here at Rose Lodge Care Home of Carers Way, Cobblers Lane, Newton Aycliffe DL5 4SE we are proud to have an amazing patio garden.
One of our residents loved her garden at home so much her fabulous husband, Kenneth, wanted to replicate that at the home for us and our garden started to grow. In our garden we have Bay Tree Standard, Dianthus, Fuchsia, Geranium, Impatiens, Lily Sunny Okinawa, Iobelia (blue, red and white), Marigold, Pelargonium, Petunia, Acer Palmatum, Begonia, Buddleia, Buxus, Conifer, Ensete Ventricosum Maurelii (Banana plant)Fern, Forsythia, Heather, Juniper, Leucothoe Curly Red and Variegated Feather Reed Grass.
The garden has brought so much joy to our residents and because of the easy access to the patio garden our residents can access it independently without worrying about uneven grass and have loved sitting outside in the summer days watching the people in Cobblers Lane and enjoying the beautiful flowers.
