All residents from the Chestnuts Housing Estate are invited to an Open Evening on July 18th 2012 at either 6pm or 7pm. This invitation is the result of discussions between Ineos and the Chestnut’s Resilience Group following concerns expressed over incidents that have occured on the Plant over the last few years. The visit should last for approximately one hour.
During this time residentswill hear about the site history, and the company’s manufacturing processes followed by a tour of the site. Ample time will be afforded to allow you to question our hosts which is an important part of the visit. If you have doubts or uncertainties about any safety aspect of the Plant, now is the time to ask people who will be able to answer them. The Chestnut’s Resilience Group have delivered a letter of invitation from Ineos to all houses on the Chestnut’s Estate. If you are going to attend the Open Evening, please complete the form at the bottom of the delivered letter and then inform one of the contacts listed before June 24th.
This is important because Ineos needs to know how many people are going to attend the Open Evening so that they can bring in sufficient staff to deal with the numbers of people attending. So if you have been worried about the Plant or simply interested in what goes on in the chemical plant ‘over the fields’ now is the ideal opportunity to find out. Councillor Gerald G. Lee (Heighington & Coniscliffe Ward)
