A Bronze medal for Cameron Harrop representing England in the junior world MMA Under 18’s championship’s in Rome. Cameron was selected from a number of clubs associated with MMA fighting throughout Great Britain and represent his country at 61 KG in Rome on the 3rd of August.
He fought a number of hard fights against Ireland, Bulgaria & Germany and was finally defeated by an American but succeeded in winning the Bronze medal for his country.
Cameron started his fighting career at Viper MMA on the Aycliffe Business Park, but then moved on to SBG Bishop Auckland UFC fighter David Grant. He is well known for his dedication to the sport and has trained hard over the past 3 years to attain his present status in the sport.
Whilst Cameron has a manager he personally would like to thank the various companies who sponsored him to make this trip possible, he also thanks everyone who wished him well in his endeavours.
MMA (mixed martial arts) is a combination of fighting skills and is better known as cage fighting, and to qualify for a bronze medal in the Junior World Championships, is a rewarding achievement to any 16 year old.
