The Horndale Residents Association held a Food Handling Course on Wednesday 20th March in partnership with Skill Share. Eight residents took part in the course which gave them a Level 2 certificate, this will enable some to further their employment skills and one person has just started work in the pub trade, others work in the volunteer sector providing food.
The course was free and the Association feels strongly we need to help people move forward and better their skills. We will advertise further training courses at our monthly meetings. Most of the courses are free and range from First Aid to Business Studies and the Volunteer Sector.
