Sunday saw Heighington’s first parents, coaches, managers, friends and family tournament. It was an excellent turn out from people who haven’t played for years, to some who play in leagues, to some who have a kick around once a week.
The competition level was excellent and everyone wanted to win and put their all into each match. Wives, children, parents and a few interested people came to support and watch. The teams were The Ultimate Warriors FC, Daves Boys and Expecting Toulouse FC. After playing each other twice in the group stage, the top 2 teams played each other in the final, Daves Boys vs Expecting Toulouse FC. After a competitive match the winners of Heighington AFC Mini Tournament 2019 was . . . Expecting Toulouse FC.
On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone who played, all the volunteers who helped with the tuck shop and food and finally all the supporters who were excellent throughout.
