Margaret and Ken Close would like to thank everyone who donated and left a kind comment on Facebook.
A huge thank you also to the police, fire service and bin men.
Through Facebook we raised £220 from lots of lovely kind people, that donated through a giving page. My aim was to cover the cost of their insurance excess and the Durham County Council cost to replace two bins.
Margaret (87 years) and Ken (who is in his 90’s) were victims of a horrible arson attack. They had their bins, shed and fence set on fire by some awful person, however the power of social media has shown them how many caring people wanted to help cover that cost and they’re both so extremely grateful.
The power of kind hearted people has really touched Margaret and Ken.
