Neville Residents Association has been handed potentially life saving equipment from a business owner with a passion for keeping people safe.
Tristan Pullich who owns Falcon Medical Solutions, recently moved to Newton Aycliffe. He joined residents on a trip to Forbidden Corner, where he learned Neville Residents Association were fundraising for a defibrillator.
Mr Pullich said “I own my own medical equipment company and the defibrillator was surplus to requirements”.
The 25 year old who has a first person on scene qualification said he had saved three lives using a defibrillator.
Survival rates for those who have cardiac arrest are significantly increased if a defibrillator is used within minutes of a collapse.
Chairman of Neville Residents Association, Heather Brewster, welcomed the donation of the defibrillator, saying “it will be available for use on all residents bus trips”
Fundraising is still carrying on to enable the purchase of pads and battery packs for the defibrillator.
