Last week former Sugar Hill School students were invited back to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the first school to be built in the town.
The main hall was opened for a Tea Party and round the room were photographs and albums of pupils throughout the decades.
Hoots of laughter could be heard as people recognised thenselves and reminisced over the happy times they had at Sugar Hill.
Stephen Cooke from New Zealand took the accolade for the student who travelled the farthest to be present. It was nice to see past teachers including former Headmaster Frank Ridley.
Ex-student Sam Dawson, who was nominated to carry the Olympic Torch, also turned up and said he enjoyed the experience and he would remember it all his life. Year 6 pupils hosted the event and the choir led by John Melvin provided entertainment.
