• DCC Cabinet meeting, Wednesday 17 October – school funding, selective licensing, an update on the History Centre, the draft Children & Young People Strategy and the Public Health Annual Report.
• DCC ‘Do It Online’ reaches 100,000 customers.
• DCC launched Green GB Week, 16-19 October.
• Last week was also National Empty Homes Week, and National Adoption Week.
• Wednesday 10 October was World Mental Health Day.
• The Forrest Park Infrastructure is now completed.
• GATC Environmental and Recreation Committees meeting, Wednesday 17 October – including Santa Tours and Aycliffe Festival.
• You can now get your Town Council Fireworks Display wristbands.
• Congratulations Carol Briggs for gaining the Outstanding Individual Contribution and the North East Charity Awards.
