Dear Sir,
I refer to MP Phil Wilson’s earlier call for a ‘Peoples Vote’. Subsequently, sup-porters of a second Brexit Referendum (that is what a People’s vote is; we can’t have people claiming that they did not know what they want) held a demonstration in London which attracted circa. 100,000 supporters.
The BBC and other Remain supporters described this turnout as HUGE! However, the Countryside Alliance demonstration against banning fox hunting attracted circa. 300,000 demonstrators, and the BBC news of 16th February 2003 reported that ‘A MILLION’ had demonstrated at the Stop the War Campaign against Tony Blair’s illegal war. The latter was HUGE!
Given there are possibly about a thousand Remain supporters in Parliament (Lords and Commons) I consider that a turnout of 100,000 in Remain voting London as pathetic! Can Parliamentarians not each cajole 99 family members, friends, constituency workers, activists, or Remain voters to come out and demonstrate on a sunny day? Phil Wilson, you are backing a loser!
The ‘People’s Vote’ is the brainchild of, and funded by, multi-billionaire currency speculator George Soros. He is dubbed, “The man who broke the Bank of England”, and made a billion dollars in doing so, on ‘Black Friday’ 1992.
He is assisted in his quest to thwart Brexit by most of the Establishment, the CBI, major manufacturers, the BBC and, of course, our MP Phil Wilson. Contrary to bogus, oft repeated, opinion polls the mood of the country has not changed. The majority still want the full British Brexit they voted for!
Phil Wilson is still worried about possible job losses in his constituency, yet the majority of workers in his constituency voted Brexit and Unison do not back the ‘People’s Vote’. Any job losses will be a result of uncertainty and the leaving process being drawn out due to persistent Remain delaying tactics. When is he going to wake up to the fact that democracy is at stake here! It is not about what big business and foreign multi-billionaires want. It is what the people want! He previously made a snide remark about Jacob Rees-Mogg and his wealth. Jacob Rees-Mogg is the good guy here. He wants the will of the people to prevail. Unlike George Soros, he is not blatantly using his vast wealth to try and thwart the will of the people as democratically expressed in a legal Referendum.
