Excellent letter by Alistair P.G. Welsh with regard to local MP Phil Wilson’s attitude to his constituents, in the Newton News. It’s about time more MP’s correctly represented their voters instead of playing God with their positions and voting how they like.
MP’s are representatives of the people, and I suspect that Mr. Phil Wilson will be losing his seat and all that it entails come the next by-election if he doesn’t do the job he was elected to do.
On another note, on the article on the same page, I was glad to see mine and other peoples donations for the MRI scanner have come to fruit. Thank goodness we won’t have to endure the old ‘torpedo tube’ apparatus that was the only other option before.
