On the 23rd Febuary 2013 Sarah Jackson and Jackie Lothian both from Newton Aycliffe are cycling 400K from Vietnam to Cambodia! They have both funded the trip themselves so that any money they raise will all go to their chosen charity. Sarah is raising money for a new wheelchair basketball club “The Tees Valley Titans” based in Middlesbrough that her son Joshua attends.
Regular readers may recall her fundraising to buy Joshua a new wheelchair last year which many Newton News readers supported. Jackie is raising money for “Rays of Sunshine” which grants wishes for terminally ill children. Jackie is also on the Just Giving website if you want to donate that way.
