Following an article in the Newton News requesting unwanted bikes for Walworth Special School last week, the children and staff would like to thank all those very kind people in our community who donated bicycles.
This will allow the children to learn to ride a bike safely, improve their road skills, enjoy a pleasurable pursuit and improve their fitness.
Head Teacher Peter Wallbanks said “I am delighted and thankful to the people of Aycliffe for their kindness. This will allow another activity to take place both in and out of school for our children who attend either as day children or residential. The children described all the bikes as `mint`!
