Great Aycliffe Town Council are again organising a series of countryside half term events for the whole family themed around animals and where they live.
Interesting and exotic creatures large and small will be at Moore Lane Eco Centre with their handlers from Krafty Kritters, who will help explain how and why these animals adapt to suit their own natural habitats.
After the talk we hope to take a stroll around the park at Moore Lane in search of the amazing British relatives of these animals to see how these creatures survive and adapt to our occasionally harsh climate. The event will take place on Tuesday 19th February at 2pm. Booking will be essential as places are limited. Book by contacting Great Aycliffe Town Council on 01325 300700.
Even if we do not always see our furry and feathered wild friends we can still turn detective and look for the tell tale signs that they leave behind.
On Wednesday 20th February at 2pm why not spend a few hours looking around Byerley Park Local Nature Reserve for these tell tale signs. The event will begin from the information board near Ranulf Court, Byerley Park.
