Last week County Councillor Paul Howells made an application to become a volunteer with the Durham Christian Partnership. The Partnership administers the County Durham Foodbank as one of its many projects to support people throughout the region.
Paul is keen to help in the Foodbank project locally, volunteering at the St Clare’s Distribution Point. Although there is no lack of help there on Wednesdays and Fridays, there are other times when support is welcomed.
Paul will be supporting our work with partners TESCO, Greggs and Sainsbury’s, stock collections and management and covering some behind the scenes roles. You may see him on Collection Days in local stores or covering for our superstar volunteers during the school holidays.
