Kynren – An Epic Tale of England returns for another action-packed summer spectacular guaranteed to amaze visitors of all ages, with breathtaking new stunts.
The UK’s ‘must see’ live outdoor show based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, will premiere its third season on 30th June 2018, blazing a trail for a season of 17 world class performances with a 1,000-strong cast and crew that will take visitors on a breath-taking time travel adventure through 2,000 years of history, myth and legend.
Hot on the heels of its opening two seasons, Kynren now has even more surprises in store, with the addition of a brand new experience including the ‘Animal Croft’ and a food village that will showcase local cuisine and more. The Animal Croft will give visitors the opportunity to meet the show’s furred and feathered cast, and learn more about their day-to-day care and training before they taking their seat for an immersive 90-minute performance.
Fresh from working on the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, Steve Boyd returns as Kynren’s Creative Director to lead the outdoor spectacular, a thrilling live action show against a backdrop of world class special effects and amazing pyrotechnics.
Show teams will turn up the heat with an array of brave new stunts which will see a Roman Centurion dragged along the ground at speed, and performance riders jumping through fire in a new Civil War sequence. Other fiery surprises are in store to entertain the crowds throughout the summer.
New for 2018, Kynren, an Epic Tale of England will also commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War with emotional effects and an updated poignant narrative that acknowledges the role of women during the war and the Suffragette movement.
