David Priestley, Greenfield Community College, Headteacher was invited to address an international delegation of teachers and educationalists at the headquarters of Creativity, Culture and Education.
Mr Priestley was able to show how the promotion of creativity can contribute to both personal development and high academic excellence. Greenfield students are more than 10% above the national average for achieving the government’s gold standard EBACC qualification.
This is achieved whilst maintaining a commitment to the arts and creativity and an emphasis on personalised learning. Mr Priestley pictured with teachers from South Korea said “our approach is designed to challenge all our students to release their potential.
Greenfield has a long record of promoting the arts as a National School of Creativity and this has enabled us to achieve improving examination results that set new records each year”.
