Newtonians Robert and Dawn Bell’s Wedding Day was held in a Las Vegas Wedding Chapel on the 10th December 2017. Dawn, 48 from Newton Aycliffe and Rob 50, originally from Darlington have lived in Lisle Road for a number of years.
Both Dawn and Rob work for Ineos where Rob is a Security Officer and Dawn as a Contractor for OCS. It is here where they both met two years ago when Rob started working in the Gatehouse Security for Innovyn.
The couple planned their dream wedding and honeymoon in Las Vegas and celebrations included a night-time flight by helicopter over the Las Vegas Strip and attending the Lionel Ritchie concert at the Planet Hollywood Hotel two nights before the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, the couple were taken by limousine from their hotel to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel where they were married under a gazebo under the stars. This was video-streamed for friends and family back home to watch. Dawn and Rob’s witnesses were friends Linda and Steve Gardner also from Newton Aycliffe, who shared the occasion with the happy couple.
The celebrations continued the following day (Dawn’s birthday) with a daytime helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon with a picnic breakfast at the base before returning back to The Excalibur Hotel for evening celebrations at the Tournament of Kings Show and Feast. They took a copy of Newton News to the ceremony and their names were up in lights. Certainly memories to cherish for years to come.
