Vane Road’s energetic cross country team once again achieved a great set of results at their most recent Cross Country Competiton at Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College. Led by a talented set of KS2 girls, Vane Road battled to take 1st place, beating over 20 schools to the gold.
Our Year 3/4 girls secured 1st place due to some excellent and determined running by Ava, Bethany, Paige and Georgia, likewise the Year 3/4 boys clinched top spot thanks to some solid running by Jackson, William and Clayton.
The terrific trio of Jodie, Amber and Fearne inspired the Year 5/6 girls to gold, building on the great results that they achieved during the recent cross country league.
Finally, the Year 5/6 boys battled hard to pick up the bronze medals, thanks to some solid running by Thomas, Caleb and Alfie.
Overall, all 47 children represented Vane Road extremely well with our Year 3/4 boys and girls and our Year 5/6 girls qualifying for the county finals.
