Six year old Neave Haigh had her beautiful plaits cut off to help charity which makes wigs for children with cancer who have lost their hair – The Little Princess Trust.
To say she did her Mam, Dad and the rest of the family proud is a huge understatement.
It was a couple of months ago after watching a YouTube video that Neave told her Mam Gina she would like to have her hair cut for charity. Her mam wasn’t sure if it was just a ‘whim’ but Neave didn’t give up!
Gina set up a Just Giving Page for the charity and printed sponsor forms. Generous donations from family, friends started rolling in and within two weeks she managed to raise £415
Neave was amazed at the support she received and being of a shy nature took it all in but was extremely grateful.
The staff at Mosaic Hairdressers Newton Aycliffe were absolutely fabulous with her and very patient with the family proudly taking pictures as the plaits were removed.
Neave was involved all the way through even taking her hair to the Post Office to send to the charity.
