Greenfield Arts are thrilled to once again be part of the Brass Festival which will be coming to the region between 7th –16th July 2017. This year the event has once again attracted quality acts who will be performing throughout the North-East and bringing their special flavour of street brass to various venues. Greenfield Community College are lucky enough to be hosting a performance on both the Aycliffe site and Sunnydale campus.
Last year’s performance will be difficult to follow with students having a great time dancing in the aisles and joining together for a supersize conga! This year’s acts however are billed to be just as vibrant with a real street edge. Students on the Sunnydale campus will be treated to the infectious beats of Hannabiell – ‘a high energy ensemble fusing Afro-Caribean & Latin percussion, jazz, afro-beat, funk and reggae’ to create their unique sound. Students on the Newton Aycliffe site can expect a ‘flavoursome mix of jazz and hip-hop’ with a brand new act to the festival – “Llaggerubb” – who will perform a mix of covers and some of their own original material to entertain the expectant students. Greenfield Arts are committed to supporting local events such as the Brass Festival and are thrilled to be able to attract such a vibrant musical performance for the students to enjoy.
