Great Aycliffe Town Councillor Ken Robson is to be featured on the BBC 1 Television program “ Caught on Camera”. The program is to be screened on BBC 1 at 11.45am on January 6th.
The series runs for 10 episodes from Monday 2nd of January until Friday 13th (weekdays).
Readers will recall that in the early hours of a summer Sunday morning a thief engaged in stealing from gardens was captured on Ken’s newly installed CCTV.
The footage was given to police and released on facebook for others to share. The mini film of the perpetrator was viewed by hundreds of local people and it wasn’t long before the thief was identified by the public and one of our local beat team.
Ken is a convinced champion of CCTV and was delighted to be invited by the production company Topical TV to be interviewed.
As a local councillor, founder of ACORN Residents and Chair of the West Ward PACT ( Police and Community Together) Ken works closely with our Neighbourhood Police team to ensure the West Ward is a safe and pleasant place to live.
Based upon his experience with CCTV he highly recommends the domestic installation of camera’s which have fallen in price making it very affordable.
Ken is an INDEPENDENT Councillor on Great Aycliffe Town Council and will be a Candidate for both Town and County Council for West Ward on May 4th so will be frequently making himself available as he tours the area.
