A LOCAL couple are looking forward to their first Christmas and the start of a new chapter after moving into their first family home at Chapter Homes’ Eden Field development in Newton Aycliffe. Michael and Kirsty Bagnall, who welcomed their daughter Eva to the family just three months ago, are the first Eden Field residents to receive their keys and plan to move into their new ‘Cuthbert’ home ready for Christmas. The family purchased their three-bedroom detached ‘Cuthbert’ house in August after visiting the Eden Field site and falling in love with the development’s community feel and location. Having grown up in Woodham Michael was already familiar with the area and said: “It doesn’t feel like that long ago since it was just the two of us viewing the property for the first time, so it’s absolutely amazing that there’s now three of us, ready to move in and start making it our own.
“I know it’s a lovely area and the feel and look of the site was just what we were after, particularly now Eva is here and we need a real family home. “Eva’s grandparents live just across the road too, which is going to be great for babysitting! Eden Field really is the perfect place for us to start this new chapter of our lives.” The Eden Field site opened its doors in August this year and includes 125 high quality two, three and four bedroom homes, all with driveway parking and good-sized gardens. Richard Roddam, chief development officer at Chapter Homes said: “We’ve made great progress since we started building in April this year and it’s absolutely fantastic to see our first residents ready to move in. “We’re delighted to welcome the Bagnalls to our site as they embark on their new family life and the whole team is sending them our best wishes.” Chapter Homes offers stylish, quality homes in County Durham. The houses at Eden Field are available to buy with a range of financial support schemes to help buyers including the Government’s ‘Help to Buy’ scheme.
