The Western Area Community Centre  at Silverdale Place welcomes people who may have long term health problems ie: Dementia, M/S M.E., Cancer etc. We meet every Tuesday morning 10am until 12.30pm with coffee/tea and a Bacon Roll  cost £3. Transport can be provided for you initially if you feel nervous about meeting new people. We can sort out or guide you to sources of help regarding Welfare Benefits, Carers help etc. We also have a group meeting on Thursday at 10am until 3pm with morning coffee a cooked meal and, weather permitting, a trip out in our Community Mini Buses and sometimes we go out for Lunch.  Two of our members are recovering from Cancer and appreciate how these weekly meetings helped them to enjoy being with people with similar outlooks on life and to move forward.
