TSB in Newton Aycliffe is pleased to announce that an impressive total of £1113.45 has been raised by its Partners and customers for their local Charity Partner, Education Centre for Children with Downs Syndrome. During the partnership, TSB in Newton Aycliffe organised numerous fundraising events such as book sales, Easter and Christmas hampers. The money raised has helped to support the ECCDS. TSB understands that no one knows their local community better than the people who live there. That’s why, each year, the Bank asks local people to nominate a local cause that they would like them to partner with. In May 2016, TSB asked local communities across Britain to nominate the local charity that they would like their local TSB to support next, receiving over 25,000 nominations from people across local communities in Britain. Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group was chosen from nominations in Newton Aycliffe to be the Bank’s new Local Charity Partner and kick started their partnership by presenting a cheque for £100 to the charity. Anita Clark, Bank Manager, TSB Newton Aycliffe said: “Our Local Charity Partnership programme is all about working in partnership to help support the local causes that are the lifeblood of many communities across Britain. “It’s been fantastic to support Education Centre for Children with Downs Syndrome which is close to our hearts here in Newton Aycliffe and everyone working here has found our partnership really rewarding. “As our partnership with ECCDS comes to an end, I’d like to wish them the very best for the future. Maggie Hart, Founder at Education Centre for Children with Downs Syndrome said: “It’s been great to work in partnership with TSB. Their support has had a really positive impact on our charity and the work we do here in Newton Aycliffe.”
