Heighington AFC Boys held its first ever Club Tournament recently and welcomed 21 teams from across the North East to play over 2 days, at U8, U11, U13 and U15 level. The weather held out as too did the local village road network, as 100’s attended this event.
It was very successful and the home side featured well in their performances and as well as awards, won two Cup Trophies at U8 and U15, and two Plate trophies for the U11’s and U13’s.
A big thank you to those who helped on the day, volunteers and referees, and to the kids who all had a great time. Next year’s event is already being eagerly anticipated and will be bigger and better.
