Sharna with Grandparents Barry and Helen
A granddaughter, Sharna Fittes, is organising a charity evening in memory of her grandfather Barry Fawcett, at the Phoenix Club with a night of mediumship with Danielle Smith who is based in Ferryhill.
The event is on Thursday 18th August in the upstairs lounge at the former British Legion Club – doors open at 7pm starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £5 each and can be purchased directly from the Phoenix Club bar on the evening or contact Sharna on 07732 395795.
All money from ticket sales including the raffle proceeds are going to Pancreatic Cancer UK
Barry was a much loved man around Newton Aycliffe and a patron of The Royal British Legion (now Phoenix Club), He finally lost his battle with this disease in August last year and the family are raising funds to make people more aware of this type of cancer.
