Adventure seekers are invited to take on the North East’s ultimate obstacle course as Muddy Mayhem returns.
The annual challenge, at Hardwick Park, near Sedgefield, is back this October – and it’s bigger and better than ever before.
Cllr Maria Plews, Durham County Council’s cabinet member for leisure, libraries and lifelong learning, said: “Muddy Mayhem is always a popular event and from cargo nets to climbing walls, tunnels, freezing open water and lots of other surprises this year promises a real test for everyone taking on our tough 5km or 10km courses.”
Registration is already open for the Sunday 2 October event, with waves of runners setting off between 11am and 3pm.
Places are priced at £35 to tackle the 5km course and £40 for the 10km run, are selling well and anyone who wants to take part is advised to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Runners must be aged 16 and over to enter and have a reasonable level of fitness.
And participants can go it alone or with friends and colleagues – with discounts available for groups.
