Two murders took place at The Transylvanian Hotel (AKA Heighington Village Hall) at a sell out Murder Mystery Night which raised funds for St Michael’s Church, Heighington and St Andrew’s Church, Bolam building repair funds. The audience of over 100 people entered into the spirit of the night by coming suitably dressed for the occasion. They were well fed and entertained and the sleuths in the audience had a challenge on their hands to uncover the perpetrator of the heinous crime.
Organiser Andrew Maxwell thanked Barclays Bank for their welcome support in providing matching funding from their Community Fund and as a result it is hoped that the event will raise a much needed £1500 to be split between the two Churches. Thanks are also due to the parishioners of Bolam who prepared the delicious three course meal and to the cast and other helpers.
