Rhiannon Foulds 16 from Sedgefield Water Polo club became the first member to represent Wales in the Celtic Junior tournament in Cardiff against Scotland and Ireland.
Rhiannon from Newton Aycliffe who is also a member of the Great Britain junior squad impressed everyone with her fast swimming and her sharpness in front of goal. Rhiannon was named the most valuable player of the tournament and won the top scorer award with 9 goals in Wales 17-8 win over Scotland and their 9-6 loss to Ireland. Rhiannon who attends Woodham Academy hopes to be picked for the GB youth team in 2013.
