Bob Knox from Northern Power Grid came into Sugar Hill Primary School to explain to Year 4 pupils what electricity is, where our power comes from and how to stay safe around electricity. It was a really informative discussion. The Year 4 teachers decided to hold a safety poster competition and Bob came back into school the following week to judge the children’s entries.
Erin Russell’s poster won 1st prize and she received a £30 Toys R Us voucher, kindly donated by Northern Power Grid. Sophie Evans and Anthony Gowland came in 2nd and 3rd place respectively and won an Easter Egg each, courtesy of their teachers, who were so proud of their efforts and the application of their learning.
