PCP is kicking off the New Year by cutting out alcohol as part of Dry January and helping members of the community to think carefully about what they drink.
On Wednesday 20 January, our dedicated Wellbeing for Life Health Trainers and volunteers will be on hand to help you discover the benefits of cutting down on alcoholic drinks. Alcohol contains high levels of sugar, contributing large amounts of ‘empty’ calories to a daily diet, as well as being an added cost just after Christmas. It needn’t be all doom and gloom though as our Health Trainers have advice on how to enjoy nights out with mocktails at home and alternative drinks in town!
The Wellbeing for Life project offers free support on a one-to-one basis for clients to make their own personal health plans. You may want to cut down on drinking, give up smoking, increase your exercise or start a new hobby. If this sounds like you, then get in touch with our Health Trainer team to see how we can help you or come along on Wednesday 20th to have a chat about the support available.
