Heighington U11s were away to Redcar this week. The game was evenly matched with a fast pace. Heighington were unlucky with their chances with 2 shots hitting the post within first ten minutes. The boys quickly gelled as a team and after the first goal, the boys got stronger and played with everything they had. The goals kept coming and this was down to fantastic team work and passes. The game ended 5-1 with 4 fantastic goals from man of the match Owen Evans and 1 from Callum Fraser.
Heighington U15’s made their longest trip of the season to play Fishburn Park just north of Whitby. Things started badly when after just two minutes we conceded an own goal from a speculative cross. The away retained their composure and worked hard and were rewarded when Adam Scott levelled. Things were to get better before half time when Adam Scott grabbed a second.
In the second half Heighington exercised more control in the match and were restricting the home side to only the odd attack. It was no surprise when Heighington added to the lead when Roman Alves finished neatly. Heighington were now in total control and added goals from Todd Steed and a hattrick for Adam Scott. A 5-1 victory to keep the team on top of Division 3, with MOM going to Lucas Thompson who was soild throughout.
