Dear Sir,
It beggars belief that the Legion Club is to be renamed “The Phoenix” and being just across from an Army Reserve Centre!
May I bring to the attention of the club  that the symbol of the phoenix and its long connection to the IRA!
How can they possibly think this is in good taste and continue to support Remembrance Day?
Perhaps a rethink on the name would be appropriate as I believe they may lose a greater number of club members who have military connections.
