Dorothy Bowman – Independent – 162 Votes (38%)

Peter Bergg has been elected to the Town Council in the By-Election on Thursday 27th August 2015.
Despite a low turn out Labour increased their share of the vote showing Peter is well respected on the Ward for his experience and proven ability.
Labour fielded a candidate with a proven record of service on the Council and are pleased to welcome him as a member of their team.
Labour Leader Cllr Bob Fleming said “There is no doubt Labour fielded two excellent candidates in these recent By Elections. We owe it to the electorate only to put the best people forward and this message has been taken on board by Labour and the electorate.”
Peter issued the following statement: “I would like to thank the people of Byerley Park, Horndale and Cobblers Hall ward for validating the Labour Party’s faith in me and giving me the opportunity to serve them on the Council once again. I will carry out my obligation to the best of my ability and am committed to speaking up for the electorate both on the ward and the Town as a whole.
